This handsome African hardwood (walnut?) bowl is absolutely amazing with its handcarved Rhinos and hippos and leaves circling the exterior perimeter. Additionally, the outside of the bowl features a chip-carved* geometric background behind the animals and leaves which are relief-carved**. The smooth interior feels wonderful to the touch and its size is versatile enough to be used a variety of ways. Whether you use it as catchall in a gentleman’s dressing room or to hold keys near a door, this bowl is lovely enough to go wherever you need it (bedside table, bookshelf or bar area too).
