About the Artist
Connie (CoCo) Hammond studied art throughout her career ranging from the American Academy of Art in Chicago in the late 1980s to studying in Minnesota under the renowned Reid Galey (an American Southwestern Plein Air Painter and former teacher at the Minnetonka Center for the Arts) in the early 2000s. Whether she’s painting a plein air landscape in Santa Fe or a mountain view in Aspen or a sunset from her current home dubbed the “Peace Palace” in Mississippi, she finds inspiration from nature and enjoys capturing the spirit of the landscape in her creations.
