Mid-century Japanese Lacquered Jewelry / Music Box

Description

This vintage Mid-century Japanese Lacquered Jewelry Music Box is a beauty with its black, gold and gray coloring. This beautiful music box has a sophisticated handpainted Japanese landscape design on both the front and top, making it a fabulous addition to any bookshelf or tabletop. The hinged box has a red velvet interior with an antiqued mirror and several compartments for jewelry, two of which have a similar design as the exterior. The wind up music box element intermittently works; sometimes I can get it to work, but I’m not mechanically inclined to fix it.

• Dimensions: 8.25″W x 6″L x 4.75″H
• Condition: Good vintage condition with wear consistent with age. The black enamel paint has chipped off in two places on the right upper side but it is not noticeable from the front or the top, just when viewing that particular side. No key. Please see pics for details.
