Description
Rare find! This magnificent mid-century abstract sculpture of an Egyptian woman’s head, handcarved out of heavy white limestone, is an absolutely stunning Marbell piece. I discovered this striking, elongated Belgium figural sculpture hidden behind books in an antique store nook. Who knows how long it was there, but I was thrilled it caught my eye and even more thrilled once I got it home and placed it on my bookshelf. I absolutely love how it looks displayed, so be sure to check out the image of it on the bookshelf which clearly demonstrates how impressive this handcarved — and signed — sculpture really is. The front of the sculpture is just as impressive as its profile. Finally, I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention how it feels when held — the granulate stone feels quite substantial.
