[SOLD] Glass Clam Shell Coasters with Silverplate Holder (Set of 6)

Description

This set of six (6) heavily textured pressed glass clam shell coasters with silverplate holder from International Silver Company will be the perfect addition to any bar area or living room table. The shell-shaped coasters are extra special with their Umbo* or beak that extends outside the silverplated holder for easy stacking and grabbing. The coasters also have ridges which are an extra useful design element to catch the beads of melting water that drip down the outside of the glass.

• This coaster set is in great vintage condition. No visible cracks or scratches. There is some tarnish that needs to be cleaned up and there is no rust inside or out. The glass shell coasters are in excellent condition.

*The “umbo” is the oldest portion of the shell. This part can be identified by the protuberance located on the thickest part of the animal nearest the hinge.
