It stands up on its tail because it’s articulated meaning each row of scales moves independent of each other. A charming 1950’s conversation starter, this amazing Los Castillo bottle opener is encased in abalone pieces that form the scales and fins of the fish. The fish stands upright on its tail (see images) and has a beautiful sculptural shape that will look beautiful in any bar area or even as a coffee table decoration. Of course, it would be a terrific gift for the sophisticated bar keeper.
